U.S. brewers, importers and distributors take very seriously our role as both employer and community member. We are concerned about the welfare of our employees and feel an obligation to help improve the quality of life in our communities.

The industry’s nationwide workforce includes nearly 946,000 employees of brewers, distributors, and retailers. However, when considering everyone whose livelihood depends on the brewing industry—such as farmers, manufacturers, truckers, and business service professionals—that number grows to 1.7 million.

Brewers and distributors are committed to being good neighbors. We have initiated or participated in numerous civic and community programs, including alcohol abuse awareness efforts, recycling programs, and corporate philanthropy. All employees are encouraged to take part in brewer-sponsored programs to contribute to their communities as well.
